On September 15, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Family First Credit Union experienced a disruption involving the data processing system used to service our members.
This is not a localized Family First Credit Union outage. Credit unions like ours across the country that use the same core processor are being affected by a larger data center failure.
Our core processor has confirmed that its primary data center experienced a cooling system failure, which caused temperatures to rise rapidly and damaged critical storage and network equipment. Importantly, there has been no data breach or unauthorized access to member information. This is a service availability issue, not a cybersecurity incident.
As a result of this disruption, we are currently unable to provide account balances or process certain transactions. Our online and mobile banking services have also been affected.
Our data processor is working diligently to restore the affected systems and return services to normal as quickly as possible. We understand how important access to your accounts is and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this disruption may cause.
